Think Quotes; It's Friday

I love quotes. Send me on an internet quest for the perfect quote and I disappear for hours searching Quote Garden, Think Exist, Quotation Page, or Quote Land in search of the pithiest saying on the web. I will also mark any quotes that I might possibly need sometime in the future.

Out of my passion comes Think Quotes; It's Friday. A day where I share one of my favorite quotes on a photo background. If you would like to join me on quote Friday by placing a photo and quote on your blog or website, please join me. All I ask is that you sign in to Mr. Linky @ Life, Love, and Laughter in a Large Family. The "Think Quotes; It's Friday" logo can also be placed on your site...just link back to mine...please.

What's He Really Thinking by Paula Rhinehart

What's He Really Thinking by Paula Rhinehart takes
women through the psyche of a man and helps us understand what he's thinking. Rinehart covered topics such as: what men do, why men hurt, how men change, expcectations, respect, conflict, getting through, and intimacy. Her well-researched insight was both helpful and refreshing.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The conversational tone and real life scenarios held my attention while the references to other books on the same topic gave credibility to what Rinehart said. Becoming a "relational genius" with men is a challenge for any woman, Rinehart's book gives women a good place to start along with continuing resources including guides for praying for the man in your life, understanding this man, a relational genius guide along with guided questions.

Walking through the Open Doors

Everyday opportunities arise. Opportunities arrive in my inbox, through the internet, from friends, or in the mail. These opportunities can be a help to my writing career or a distraction that takes me further from my goals by taking up time and attention I could better use else where. The trick is figuring out which opportunity or door to walk through.

Below are four requirements I use to assist me in determining which open door to walk through.

Requires being ready: I have to have something written or to speak on and ready to go when the opportunity arises.

Requires being watchful: If I am not paying attention opportunities can pass me by.

Requires being prayerful: Knowing which opportunities are from the Lord and which are not. Stepping back and prayerfully considering the opportunities to determine which is the right choice.

Requires being humble: Continually remembering that God is the giver of all good things and that He receives the glory and honor and praise.
By requiring myself to remember to be ready, watchful, prayerful, and humble, I can best utilize my time by walking through the open doors.
